Chestnut Lodge is our split-level bungalow positioned on a quiet road in a serene and picturesque semi-rural location in the valley of Seven Sisters. With rolling hills either side of the narrow village winding itself though beautiful scenic landscapes, this perfectly lends itself to a calm and relaxing way of life whilst easily accessed being just 15 minutes from the M4.
The home is located within 10 minutes of the Aberdulais Waterfall trails and endless outdoor adventure opportunities whether by foot or bike due to the immediate access to the stunning
locality. With easy local bus routes and only a short drive to the to the M4 for Cardiff and West Wales, Chestnut Lodge is perfectly located giving access to many amenities and areas.
The village offers a choice of education facilities with Blaendulais Primary School only 200m away and the nearest Comprehensive School only a 10 minute drive. Within 20 minutes, Llandarcy Academy of Sport and Neath College can be found.
Range of needs we can support:
Chestnut Lodge provides placements, for young people who are unable to live with their families. Emergency placements are accepted if the initial assessment confirms suitability and ensures the needs of young person can be met by the staff team.
At Chestnut Lodge we provide services for young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties as well as associated needs, such as, although not limited to, mental health needs, attachment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders.
We offer supportive and individualised care packages for young people with complex behaviours which restrict their opportunities and negatively impact their development, such as issues with physical and verbal aggression and self-harm. We will assess the needs and the ability of company to meet those needs at the time of referral.
